Homecoming 2009 - Middleton Village Hall Scots Night

This event formed part of the 2009 Homecoming Scotland celebrations and was part-financed by the Scottish Government, Midlothian Council and the European Community Tyne Esk Leader 2007-2013 Programme”.
Tickets were virtually sold out before the event. Those attending were treated to a wonderful variety of Scots entertainment, as shown in the programme below.
7.00 - 7.30 Cameron Pate: Piper welcomes guests 7.30 - 7.45 Stuart Anderson: Accordion 7.45 - 8.15 Middleton Middens 8.15 - 8.30 Piper pipes in haggis. Stuart Anderson: Address to the Haggis (whisky toast), then accordion music 8.30 - 9.30 2 course meal: Haggis, neeps & tatties followed by Cranachan. Music - Clarsach player: Aislinne 9.30 - 1.00 Rainbow Ceilidh Band
The event raised over £500, which will be divided amongst local charities and also will help kick off the fund for Middleton Christmas light. A massive thanks to all who helped in the event, especially the organiser Gillian Lithow, and all the ladies who worked so hard in the kitchen and bar, before, during and after the event.
